Prior to joining Afridi & Angell in 2017, Mr Senanayake was a practicing counsel in the private bar of Sri Lanka and worked with eminent President’s Counsel in Sri Lanka. He has contributed to a number of leading judgments by the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal on areas including intellectual property, labour and fundamental rights. He has also been involved in policy making with international organisations and acted as a legal consultant to a leading bank in Sri Lanka.

Ms White has wealth of knowledge in commercial and retail leasing, including drafting ground leases, long term sub-leases, car parking licenses, disclosure statements, and default notices. She has represented both landlords and tenants.

Zahra joined Afridi & Angell in 2018. Prior to joining Afridi & Angell, she gained experience as a corporate associate in top tier Australian law firms and as an in-house corporate counsel for a tier one telecommunications provider in Australia.
Zahra’s Australian experience includes:
experience in the telecommunications, technology and real estate sectors;
advising on compliance with competition, marketing, consumer, privacy and spam laws in the Asia-Pacific region;
extensive working knowledge of corporate laws, taxation laws, and corporate regulations relating to corporate acquisitions and mergers;
advising on the tax administration system, and interpreting the rulings and administrative guidance provided by the Australian Taxation Office to assist clients with their corporate affairs and compliance with the relevant corporation and tax laws; and
