Afridi & Angell had the pleasure of hosting the 2024 Lex Mundi Middle East/Africa Conference on 25, 26 and 27 February in Dubai. The three-day event brought member firms from across the Middle East, Africa, Europe, Asia and the Americas to explore global business trends, regulatory insights, investment strategies, and continuing legal developments in the Middle East and Africa regions. The program kicked off with a keynote address exploring energy transition and post-carbon economies and was followed by panel discussions on the movement towards post-carbon economies, investment flows from Asia, regulatory trends in antitrust and competition, Saudi Arabia’s rapid transformation as well as a discussion among general counsel on the impact of geopolitics, stakeholderism and GenAI on business strategies. The program concluded with an inspiring talk on the impact of digital technology on a person’s focus and how to build resilient and productive habits in order to perform deep insightful work.
