Fatima is a bilingual paralegal in the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice. She brings strong experience across civil and common law systems, and plays a key role in supporting the firm’s litigation and advisory teams through in-depth legal research on UAE legislation, court practice, and comparative legal principles applicable to both onshore and offshore matters.
Fatima is adept at analysing and distilling complex legal issues into clear, practical research insights. Her work strengthens the development of legal arguments and supports the team across a broad range of matters, including insurance, corporate and commercial issues, employment matters, and the enforcement of foreign judgments.
Prior to joining Afridi & Angell, Fatima worked as a lawyer at a leading Sudanese law firm, where she gained extensive experience in dispute resolution before national courts and arbitral tribunals. Her practice focused on representing clients in complex commercial disputes and arbitration proceedings.
Fatima also worked as a research assistant, contributing to both an LL.M. module at the University of Khartoum and a commentary on the principles of International Commercial Arbitration and its application in Sudan prior to its accession to the New York Convention on the Recognition and Enforcement of Foreign Arbitral Awards.
