Stincy’s practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions, private equity, joint ventures and general corporate advisory matters. She has advised clients across a wide range of sectors, including education, healthcare, financial services, energy, manufacturing and high-end retail.


Prior to joining Afridi & Angell, Stincy was a senior associate at a DIFC-based international law firm where she worked on private equity transactions in the education, healthcare and automobile sectors, and advised on mergers and acquisitions of private and public listed companies.


Prior to moving to Dubai, Stincy was an associate with a leading firm in India. In addition to general corporate and commercial work, Stincy’s practice in India focused on capital markets where she advised on SEBI takeover code regulations and open offer obligations. She also advised clients on private equity and debt capital market transactions and represented corporations, and book running lead managers in proposed initial public offerings, qualified institutional placements, offer for sale and preferential rights allotment. She advised one of India’s leading ports on the public issue and private placement of secured redeemable non-convertible, tax-free, long-term, infrastructure bonds and private placement of listed and non-listed, non-convertible debentures.


Stincy has also represented companies in qualified institutional placements pursuant to Rule 144A and Regulation S of the U.S. Securities Act.

  • Advising a private equity investor on investments in the automobile dealership sector in the UAE and Asia Pacific.
  • Advising a private equity investor on investments in the education sector.
  • Advising an Italian high-end brand on termination of its existing franchise agreement and entering into a new franchise agreement.
  • Advising a DFSA and a FCA regulated company on the proposed sale of its business.
  • Advising a client on the sale of limited partnership interests in various private investment funds to two leading players in the global secondary funds market.
  • Advising a UK-based insolvency firm on its appointment as administrative receiver of a company in the DIFC and sale of its business.
  • Advising a Saudi-based investment group on the establishment of an investment bank within the DIFC including structuring the transaction and capital infusion.
  • Advising on an acquisition of shares in companies in the education and healthcare sectors.
  • Advising a Saudi-based district cooling company on a project finance transaction.


Stincy completed her masters in Corporate and Securities Law from Columbia Law School in 2010, where she served on the editorial board of the American Review of International Arbitration.
