Charles Laubach, partner, was a panelist during a webinar on bounced cheques, organised by the AmCham Abu Dhabi’s Legal Affairs Committee. Some of the questions that were addressed included why checks are used as collateral security for commercial obligations, and what measures parties are taking to handle bounced check cases other than through the criminal justice system. Other panelists included John McGowan (JPM Legal Advisors Worldwide Ltd), Yassin Yassin (Abu Dhabi Police – GHQ) and Rami Al Asadi (Agility Engineering & Contracting Co.).
